Cape Coral Police Department Announces Holiday Heroes Food Drive Totals
The Cape Coral Police Department recently announced the totals for its 6th annual Holiday Heroes Food Drive in which CK Advertising was once again a partner, for the third year in a row. The food drive benefits the Harry Chapin Food Bank of SWFL, part of the Feeding Children Network.
Cape Coral, FLA (December 14, 2017) The Cape Coral Police Department released the totals from its 6th annual Holiday Heroes Food Drive this past week on Wednesday, December 6, 2017.
CK Advertising participated by holding its annual internal employee competition with the goal of topping or matching last year’s 14,000-lb total. Seven departments competed, bringing in a combined 14,098lbs, with the Media Department coming out on top, and last year’s winner, Account Services, coming in second. Harry Chapin Food Bank later released its official count as 14,936lbs!
The agency also announced a friendly challenge to businesses around the area to help drive up participation in the Holiday Heroes drive. Although, no businesses accepted the challenge, the business competition will reopen next year with the same goal.
Below are the official numbers released by the CCPD:

- November 14th: The Cape Coral Police Department had officers collecting donations at the Walmart located at 1619 Del Prado Blvd. South, and collected 808 pounds of food as well as $1,554.00.
- November 17th: The Cape Coral Police Department joined forces with CK Advertising and collected 14,936 pounds of food as well as a donation to the Harry Chapin Food Bank in the amount of $1,000.00.
- Total pounds of food- 15,744 pounds of food. (That’s 7.872 tons!)
- Total Dollars collected- $2,554.00.
